You need to feel better, you’re stressed, parts of your body are in pain. Come in for a slow deep relaxing massage. I like to include movement in my massage, it helps your body feel freer and elongated. Let’s talk and design a session together.
Every massage session we have is a process of communication between you and me. It begins with a discussion before you get on the table of what you want and and what I have to offer. Once you are on the table I will pay attention to what I feel under my fingers, and any responses I see or feel. But always feel free to speak up and let me know, more of this, or less of that.
All of our senses are processed contextually; if you give me verbal input, it will change what my hands feel. Also feel free to quietly process the experience (that’s what I usually do), but never, ever feel hesitant to speak up!
I incorporate multiple “methods” of massage, like swedish, deep tissue, thai-like stretching and rocking, longer strokes in the style of Easlen or lomi-lomi, myofascial and dermoneruomodulation (DNM) type stretching and holding. I may also include the heat of a Synergy stone in our work together.
I work slowly. It gives your body time to process and respond to all the input it is receiving. Often people are greatly relaxed at the end of a session. Let me know if you need to feel more energized and we can include some tapotement and faster strokes before you go off and engage with the remainder of your day.
I’m located inside of Tranquility Massage Therapy in Loves Park near the intersection of N 2nd Street and E Riverside Blvd, 2 miles from the Anderson Japanese Gardens. Well situated for residents of Loves Park, Rockford, and Machesney Park
We have free parking in a lot. The parking lot is wheelchair accessible. While we are on the ground floor, there is a small step up to the sidewalk/entrance to the building. Carambola Gelato and Coffee Shop is right across the street.
